Your journey will begin in Lisbon, a so charming city, full of contrasts. Then, you will continue to the Algarve region to enjoy its climate, its beaches, its soft and friendly atmosphere. Children can play and have fun on the long sandy beaches.

The route day after day

DAY 1: Arrival in Porto

Transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free, so take the opportunity to discover your neighborhood and stroll through the cobbled streets. (Bkfst)

Day 2: Porto

The day is free. In the afternoon, take a short cruise on the Douro and attend a typical diner and a fado show. (Bkf, D)

Day 3: Douro Valley

Discover the Douro Valley and the vineyards. The landscpae is amazing, and you will love the wine degustation. You could even go to Vila Real to visit the Mateus Palace. (Bkf)

Day 4: Departure to Lisbon

Today, you will go to Lisbon. The rest of the day is free: admire the magnificent panoramas of the Tagus river, the castle and the hills… Your children will be delighted by all these colors and new landscapes! (Bkf)

DAY 5 - Decoration fo the azulejos

Participate in the decoration of earthenware tiles. The traditional ” azulejos ” are among the 12 treasures of Europe and you can admire them all over the city. You will therefore visit the main Azulejo factory in Azeitão, followed by the creation of your own azulejo: it must dry for 48 hours. You can collect it when you return to Lisbon on the last day. DAY 6 - Discovery of gastronomy

Attend a cooking workshop with your children to prepare the famous ‘Pastéis de Nata‘. Discover the history of this wonderful crispy puff pastry cake, filled with cream. Out of the oven, everyone will be delighted with their Pastel de Nata, still warm and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Your children will enjoy it for sure, and you too! (Bkf)

DAY 7 - Pena National Palace

Visit of the amazing Pena National Palace. Unique in its rich and vivid colors, the palace will surprise you with its different styles of architecture.

Your children can play, invent stories and imagine themselves as a prince or princess of the time. (Bkf)

DAY 8- Azeitao and Sesimbra

After breakfast, set off for Azeitao for a visit of a national liqueur producer, the “Moscatel“. Moscatel is a generous wine (A.O.C), known since 1907.

After dinner in a typical restaurant, you will visit Sesimbra, a picturesque fishing town located near a sheltered bay, and you will take a tour of the Serra D’Arrabida which offers magnificent landscapes. Then leave for Lagos to reach your hotel, a real little paradise for families. (Bkf, L)

DAY 9 – Lagos

Take the opportunity to discover the city.

Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world can be found in the Algarve. Along its 200 km of coastline, the Algarve offers a multitude of coves, cliffs, caves and rocky beaches contrasting with wide expanses of fine sand.

Don’t forget your swimsuit, protective hat and sunglasses to take full advantage of this enchanting setting: your children will love being able to play there! (Bkf)

DAY 10 - Rio Famosa Natural Park

Discover the Rio Famosa Natural Park, a protected lagoon in order to preserve different species of flora and fauna.

Today, enjoy an authentic experience: spend half-day with a clam picker ! Prepare yourself for a unique experience on a traditional fishing boat, to discover the secrets of clam picking alongside a local guide-biologist who will share his know-how and skills.

Finally, stop at an oyster farm to taste the oysters directly from the producer. A favorite activity for families! (Bkf)

DAY 11 - The historic Algarve

The day is free.

We suggest you visit Sages, a picturesque village and atypical fishing port. Then discover Cape Saint Vincent, its lighthouse and the old ruins of a Franciscan monastery. End the day watching the beautiful sunset in Alvor. (Bkf)

DAY 12 - Return to Lisbon

After lunch, you will return to Lisbon. Your children can take advantage of this evening to remember the highlights of their trip. (Bkf)

DAY 13: Departure

In the morning, you will be transferred to Lisbon Airport for your return flight. (Bkf)
